Sweet and spicy cucumbers

A simple and quick summer recipe, pickled cucumbers quickly, in just 24 hours. Extremely fragrant, sweet-spicy, they are perfect now in summer. If you prefer a barbecue with chicken, pork, they go perfectly. Even a vegetarian burger goes with them! Now the markets are invaded by vegetables and cucumbers are in full swing. I hope you try them, they are delicious!

Preparation: wash cucumbers and onions well. Try to buy cucumbers as small as possible, they are much colder and better.

So, cut the rounds, but not very thin. After it dies, it has a little crunchy texture.

Cut the onion into scales. In a large bowl, mix the cucumber slices with the onion. Put the whole mixture in jars. I got two small jars. Add the spices.

In a saucepan heat water, vinegar, sugar and salt. When it starts to boil, remove from the heat. Place the jars on a metal grill and carefully pour the liquid. Seal the jars and leave them at room temperature for 24 hours.

After this time I am ready to enjoy. Enjoy your meal! Keep them cold.

Hot peppers in vinegar in a jar pickled for the winter

Hot peppers in vinegar in a jar pickled for the winter. Hot pepper recipe for winter, pickled in vinegar, without boiling. The peppers remain hot and crunchy and are perfect with soups or dishes with sauce (stews). They can be pickled whole or sliced.

In my family, these pickled hot peppers have always been men's specialty. My grandfather was a big fan of hot peppers in vinegar and he always had them at home, both fresh (in season) and pickled, in small jars (cut into slices and whole). He was also responsible for preserving horseradish in vinegar as I told you here.

He put half of his hot peppers in vinegar (or fresh) in his soup and sprinkled freshly ground pepper with a grinder. Nothing seemed fast enough for my grandfather & # 8230.

When choosing hot peppers for the winter, think ahead about which jars you will use. I found in the market some very beautiful peppers that fit in some higher jars-bottles (300 ml). I chose colored peppers: green, red and orange.

Here I write the recipe for a 300 ml jar. If you want more jars, you will multiply all the quantities.

Peppers, good in dishes

The star of August, peppers are wonderful both in cool salads of vegetables and in seasonal dishes. Regardless of shape or color, they delight summer menus, and if you preserve them properly, you can enjoy their taste to the fullest.

Red, green or yellow, sweet or spicy… peppers entice you with their fresh and good taste. You can also choose varieties such as capsicums or too tasty donuts. They can be eaten raw, in salads, pickled or baked on the stove, but also in the famous stews with selected meats. Find out which variety is best for each dish.

Peel and wash the cucumbers under running cold water. A row of dill branches and a clove of garlic are placed on the bottom of the jar, which I grow. Fill the jar with cucumbers, from time to time add dill and garlic.

In a pot, mix the water with the salt and vinegar until the salt dissolves. If you use warm water it will dissolve faster.

Pour salt water over the cucumbers, cover the jar with a plate and put in the sun. If the night is cold, keep the jar inside. Every day turn the jar with the other side and shake a little.

Cucumbers are ready in 3-4 days. Put in jars and store in the refrigerator. They can be consumed immediately, but they also last over the winter.
